About Us


Darryl and Corey Maher purchased Curt's Car Care from their uncle, Curt, in May of 1998. In January of 2000, they changed the name to Maher Brothers Car Care, to represent themselves as a family business, owned and operated by two brothers. Since taking over the business, the shop has expanded from two service bays to, now, eight service bays.

Darryl worked for a Ford dealer for 13 years. He graduated from St. Joe's High School. He then attended and graduated from North Western Business College. Darryl is a Ford Master Technician (one of the first in the area). Darryl is ASE L1 Certified, which is the highest level of automotive training. He is a graduate of Automotive Training Institute, Automotive Leadership Institute and Automotive Management Institute. Darryl and his wife Valerie have one son, Kenneth and live in Mentor.

Corey graduated from Willoughby South High School and joined the Army shortly afterwards. After Boot Camp, Corey was assigned as a M1A1 Tank operator and was in charge of the company armory (all weapons for his division). Corey left the Army in 1998, to pursue the American dream of owning his own business. Corey attended Auburn Career Center. Corey graduated from Automotive Training Institute, Automotive Leadership Institute and Automotive Management Institute. He then decided to place his focus on customer service, while Darryl placed his focus on customer satisfaction, and leadership of the technicians. Corey also lives in Mentor with his wife and two children Rylee and Connor.

Darryl and Corey define customer service! They love their clients, and the clients love them. They strive to satisfy every client, whether they are new or have been coming to them for 10 years. At Maher Brothers Car Care, the goal is to treat everyone like their own family. They like to have fun with newsletters and other marketing so their clients are always up to date!
